Chechnya, winter 1996, second year of war. Florent Marcie, clandestinely traveling, camera in hand, shot for several months images from the point of view of the Chechen separatists. Torn between despair and stubbornness, the Chechen people resist against the omnipresent and omnipotent Russian army. Its a unique testimony about the resistance of this small oppressed people, but also a universal film on war and resistance. Staggering are the scenes from ruined Grozni, when the Russian army encircles a demonstration.
