I had the honor to be the director of the Laboratory of Audiovisual Media until August 2017. As President of the Board of Directors of the Greek Film Archive, I have the pleasure to collaborate with the present director of the Laboratory professor Myrto Rigou and with the professor and director Eva Stefani. The Laboratory, besides providing hands on support, seeks synergies with other universities (University of Arts and Design Karlsruhe, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Athens School of Fine Arts, etc.) and institutions (Greek Film Archive, Hellenic Parliament Television), that share its vocation. The student films which I present in this section were chosen in collaboration with Eva Stefani, Pericles Hoursoglou, Aris Fatouros and Nickos Myrtou: Short fiction films from the School of Film of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. From the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies films that were made in the context of post-graduate and under-graduate courses, an award winning film presented in China, as well as a work in progress on the on the sculptor Giorgos Lappas. Lastly, 3 more films are included, produced in the context of the inter-academic programme “Diaplasis”
