Irena Bilić, born in Belgrade, studied philosophy, anthropology and film directing at the Sorbonne, under the guidance of Jean Rouch and Eric Rohmer. She began her career as an assistant director and editor, before becoming a documentary director. She has worked all over the world and with directors such as Andrei Zulawski, Emir Kusturica, Spike Lee, etc. She has made more than 20 documentaries and short features screened at prestigious film festivals. In 2006 she founded and for 14 years now, she produces and directs the European art and auteur films’ festival “L’Europe autour de l’Europe” that takes place in Paris and Normandy every year.
Gaëlle Jones has worked several years in French public funding organizations and film commissions to support the French cinema industry. Since 2002, Gaëlle Jones is a film producer, first within the company Château-Rouge Production. She won the award of the Lagardère Foundation “best cinema producer” in 2003. In 2014 she joined and manages today Perspective Films, to produce and sale art house shorts, docs and feature films. Meanwhile, she handles a consulting and assessment mission in Cambodia to built the National Center of Arts and Cinema until 2019.
Haden Guest, (1972), is an American film historian and scholar, archivist and curator, as well as director of the Harvard Film Archive (HFA) of the Harvard University, where, as a lecturer in the Visual and Environmental Studies Department, he also teaches courses on film history and archival practice. Besides curating the HFA, he has curated film programs for the Viennale, the Oberhausen Film Festival and the Gulbenkian Foundation and Museum in Lisbon. In 2015, he was awarded a Medal of Cultural Merit by the Secretary of Culture of Portugal, in recognition for his work curating and researching Portuguese cinema.
Vasilis Karamistanis, born in Athens, 1976, is, since 2002, a licensed attorney- at-Law by the Athens Bar Association. Since 2008, he is President of Animasyros (International Animation Festival). In 2015, he was appointed President to ASIFA HELLAS (Hellenic Animation Association). In 2018, he was awarded with the Knight Medal of the Order of Arts and Letters of the French Republic. Also, since November 2018, he is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Greek National Opera.
Dimitris Koutsiabasakos studied film and TV direction at V.G.I.K, Moscow. He has directed documentaries, TV series, short and feature films for cinema and television. His works have received national and international awards.

The 10th Athens Avant-Garde Film Festival is carried out in the context of “Cinephilia in the New Age II” which is funded by the European Union — European Regional Development Fund (Operational Programme ROP ATTIKI of NSRF 2014-2020). All actions are carried out under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports.
