For the kids of this family the only world they have known is the inside of their suburban house and garden. They are told they can’t go outside before their dogtooth falls. Boredom, (mis)education, discipline, sexual arrangements and biopolitical management are what the two parents have to offer, while, progressively, the kids’ sense of misplacement and awkwardness starts looking like a revolt. This is a film about structures, (national) allegories, imposed mentalities and how (not) to be governed.
